BARRIER AS TEMPORARY BASIN FOR LEACHATE
Background
A Swedish municipality performs dredging work, on an occasionally basis, and then needs to collect the leachate/ reject water from the dredging work. The water is retained in a basin for two weeks before sampling. Usually they build a pool with lots, which is then covered with a special membrane. The municipality was looking for a new solution to be able to do the job more smoothly and efficiently. Inero was contacted to look for a solution.
A temporary basin with H100 barrier
The municipality needed a pool measuring 20 x 30 m wherefore Inero offered 100 m H100 barrier together with 4 complete inner corners. The barrier was supplied in 2 stackable special pallets in galvanized steel and a wooden pallet containing the 4 complete 90-degree corners (consisting of 12 30 degree modules). The pool was supplemented with a special membrane in HDPE.
It took the staff approximately two hours to build the basin.
