MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR AND OVERSEAS AUTHORITIES (FRANCE)

General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management (DGSCGC)

Wishing to verify and control the effectiveness of INERO flood barriers (speed of assembly - impermeability - resistance to waves, logs and floating objects, dismantling and repacking of the barriers) INERO carried out a demonstration at the request of the DGSCGC in Méry sur Oise.

After the demonstration proved successful, in September 2022, on the banks of the Charente in Jarnac, the DGSCGC teams carried out an installation of the barrier, followed by impermeability and resistance tests, with repacking of the INERO barriers.

At the end of this operation, a framework agreement with INERO for the acquisition of flood barriers was awarded. Two deliveries of INERO barriers have already been made in 2023 and 2024 for the DGSCGC forces, which manages the use of the barriers according to the demand of municipalities in flood zones.
